New Client, SWEDISH RELAXATION massage basic goal is to relax the body and mind. There are 5 main distinctive strokes used in Swedish Massage to accomplish this technique. They included long gliding strokes, kneading, tapping, friction, and vibration all to stimulate circulation and affect the central nervous system in the direction of blood returning to the heart.
DEEP TISSUE Massage therapy is like Swedish massage only the pressure is deeper. This technique is good for releasing chronic muscle tension because the focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscle, bones, and joints).
NEUROMUSCULAR Massage (a.k.a. Trigger Point therapy) is a specialized form of deep tissue massage. Finger pressure (elbows) and friction are used to release areas of strain on the muscle called tender or trigger points. These points are the cause of many muscular pain symptoms. This technique focuses on using firmer pressure along with slow, firm strokes using fingers, elbows, forearms, and the palms of the hands to reach the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue to get them to release. Deep tissue massage can also refer to the gentle and sustained pressure targeting the myofascial layer (band or sheet of connective tissue, primarily collagen, beneath the skin that attaches, stabilizes, encloses, and separates muscles and other internal organs).
PRENATAL (Pregnancy) Massage is a healthy way to reduce stress & promote overall wellness. Massage relieves many of the normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy, such as backaches & stiff neck.
